HONDA TRANSALP XLV 650

Performance:

The Honda Transalp is a very underrated bike. Those who own will be able to tell you just what a great versatile bike they really are. Staintune came under a lot of pressure from the Transalp owners to develop a system and finally thanks to Richard Kennedy of Tasmania for keeping the pressure on!! it's now available.

The Transalp on the dyno delivers a performance gain of 5 Hp, but it's only when you road test the bike that you will find the significant changes. As with most free flowing exhaust systems you will instantly notice a more crisp and responsive throttle, a very noticeable gain is felt through mid range acceleration and roll on is almost sensual.

What about the noise:

Staintune supplies all exhausts with the removable restrictor system. The Staintune's with the restrictors in will give a very nice deep throaty note and with them out well…..it just gets better.

Restrictors in: 81 dba @ 3750 rpm

Restrictors out: 87 dba @ 3750 rpm

Weight savings:

The standard system is cumbersome and heavy at 5 Kg while the Staintune is 2.8 Kg

Finish:

The Staintune system is a single oval which enables the use of the standard panniers. The finish is a highly polished Stainless Steel.
