Suzuki M50
(VZ800) 2006
Hi Staintune,
I'm hoping these pics of your system fitted to my 2006 Suzuki M50 (VZ800)
come out OK. I'm very pleased with the result. The system is very
well made, fits perfectly to the stock headers, was easy to install and
the sound clearly louder than stock without being obnoxious to me or the
neighbours. In fact, I was surprised as to how much louder
they are than the choked-up stock system. Throttle response is better,
and a slight hesitance on acceleration inherent in the stock system has
been removed. The weight saving is appreciated as they are not a particularly
light bike. Overall I'm a happy customer.

Just a quick appreciation to say how happy with my Staintune equipped
Suzuki Bandit 1250S. I had been waiting for a while for you guys to put
this pipe out but it was well worth it. The ease of fitting it with
everything lining up EXACTLY is amazing. Your pipe is so much nicer
to listen to and look at than the massive OEM that you'd swear they where
from different vehicles. It feels so much lighter riding now - the weight
is that noticable. This is my 5th Staintune exhaust and for the first time
I am running the bike perminantly without the restricter in place. The
note without it is just right and gives me the option of returning it to
stealth mode again in less than a minute. It really is a quality (and proudly
Australian!!) product that sets of this great bike. Job well done to all.
Cheers

You will be almost as pleased as me to know that the Staintune fuel
injection control unit has solved the problem. ...the irritating hesitancies
and stuttering at low speed while negotiating in traffic have gone. This
is most pleasing and I am completely satisfied. Indeed, soon I will be
unable to recall the horrors of the bike before the unit was installed.

Have just installed my 5th set of Staintune exhausts. This latest
set was for my 2006 Triumph Scambler.
After eagerly awaiting the new pipes I'll say the result is truly dramatic.
-- OK, no exaggeration, the new cans have transformed my bike from a very
nice all around bike to a real old school Trumpet.
At partial throttle the sound is deeper and nicely subdued. But crack
the trottle and the bark is equal to the bite. My brother's
stock Scrambler disappeared into my mirrors on the first hill. Hey, this
is fun and one of my favorite all-around bikes is finally living up to
it's heritage! Thanks guys, it was worth the wait.

Mike,
This is the last message I will send but I had to let you know.....
I've owned nearly 70 bikes and lots of them have been 'stage 1' tuned
(or more) but I've never experienced such a drastic improvement on any
of them as I have with the Staintunes on the MT01 ! The difference is
staggering !
The throttle response and power are transformed....I was genuinely shocked
when I rode the bike, and after all the bikes I've owned (and ridden) I'm
not easily impressed.
Thanks VERY much.....I'll be recommending Staintune and Woody's to all
my mates and contacts.
All the best,
Terry.

Dear Staintune, Having been a customer of yours many years ago with
my K75c BMW and having the prototype pipe for that model, i would just
like to let you know the bike and pipe are still going well in my best
mates garage now days and about to click over nearly 350,000 K's. I go
to see him in Canberra and I always melt at the sound of that pipe!
I am now looking at buying the latest K1200S and would like to know the

To the Management & Staff at Staintune.
I just rode my ’05 VT750C home after having a set of Staintune pipes
installed by the people at City Cycles and had to get straight onto the
email to let you know that the difference to my bike is exceptional.
I have enjoyed riding the Shadow since getting it, but have felt that
it was a little underpowered from a stop start and far too quiet. At any
rev over 30K you just couldn’t hear the bike. After months of looking on
the net for pipes and not being totally convinced by the various advertising
spiels I read, your article from Warren Friend convinced me to take the
plunge with the Staintune product.
The results are way better than I expected. Firstly the actual product
looks way better than any web page photograph can do justice to, secondly
the apparent extra power at low & high ends of the rev range is noticeable
(& the biggest surprise to me) and thirdly the sound is magic. This
is what a cruiser is supposed to sound like.
Your product is exceptional, and it was the references on your site
that finally pushed me over the line; hence my eagerness to write.
Good luck to you all at Staintune and many thanks.

KLR 650

Hi Everyone,
A happy "Yank" writing to say thanks for another "beautifull"
pipe. I'm a fortunate man who has built many machines and rode many miles
including your wonderfull country in '00. Wanted to share pictures and
info on a (nearly) retired KLR (GS's for 20 years) and of the new 650 V-strom
just completed. The pipe was the finishing "touch" on the new bike - makes
me feel warm & fuzzy ya know? -- Next adventure is Goosebay, Newfoundland
after a return from Arctic Circle in Alaska last August.
Give me a shout if I can be of help to you or a customer.
Proud to Ride the Pipe
Thanks Again,
Tony Authick

To the Manager,
I went to Bowral motorcycles to get a pink slip yesterday but as it
turned out it couldn't be issued with out the exhaust having a sticker
stating it conforms to noise regulations. So, as told, I went to Staintune
who tested the noise levels and issued the sticker. While I was there I
explained that I had a Tin Catalyst (PERFORMAFUEL) fitted to my bike &
that I would like to see if the bike had more HP than what they (Staintune)
quoted for the 99 VFR800 without the Performafuel (96HP). I said that I
thought the most accurate & fairest way to do a HP comparison was to
do the test on the same dyno. They said OK (see attached). (See attached
file: VFR800 with PERFORMA-FUEL (STAINTUNE DYNO) 104HP.pdf)
I would like to thank Staintune for their awesome customer service
which I believe is beyond reproach. I have never walked away from a company
as happy as I did yesterday wanting to repay the favour somehow. Clayton
who runs the dyno seen the state of my exhausts baffle and replaced it
because the baffle was battered and bruised from being put in and out of
a super tight fit so many times with a pair of multigrips. I told Clayton
he didn't have to but he did anyway. He commented "no problem, it's all
about customer service, it looks crap & it should not be such a tight
fit anyway. Clayton's comments echoed what I had seen & experienced
while at Staintune. I seen first hand the passion that these guys have
when it comes to bikes, pride in their workmanship & making sure their
product is always a QUALITY product even after leaving the factory and
the sale has been made. Clayton obviously didn't want a Staintune exhaust
being seen every day by potential customers that looked second hand, if
he had the chance to rectify it. Staintune did NOT charge one cent for
any of their services & nothing was too hard / too much trouble for
any of the staff I had dealings with.
To Clayton & everyone at Staintune, once again
Thank you so much for all your time & effort.

First of all, thank you for your prompt reply. After I had sent
you the inquiry, I checked with some of my friends on a VFR website who
were familiar with Staintunes, and they confirmed that the dent is supposed
to be present for proper fitment to the ABS model, which has a remote adjustment
for the rear suspension.
I was impressed with how simple the installation process was for the
Staintunes and how well everything fit together. The workmanship
of the pipe and cans is superb. The sound they produce is music to the
ears of this motorcycle enthusiast.
Although the Staintunes demand a premium price, it was money well
spent.
Thank you.

Dear Peter
Re: Honda VT750 C4 Model
Being a seasoned rider for the past 37 years on a multitude of makes
and models, I recently purchased a new Honda VT750 2004 model. Having previously
owned a variety of machines, which included a Honda CBR1000 and a Kawasaki
1500 Vulcan, I felt the Honda VT750 offered everything I required in a
motorcycle. Influenced of course by the recent positive road test reports,
I have certainly not been disappointed. However a bike that sounds like
a kitchen appliance is a problem when touring without a tachometer and
wearing a full-face helmet, it is difficult to realise the engine revs
in 4th or 5th gear. Further, without any exhaust note, passing other vehicles
can be a surprise let alone a danger, as they have no idea you are there.
Needless to say, I immediately discussed exhaust options with Rick,
Paul and Clayton at Staintune in Mittagong. They designed a full stainless
steel lightweight 2 into 1 system, turning this bike into a fantastic machine
that now sounds and performs to the perfection of any cruiser enthusiast.
The system is similar in appearance to the original 2004 exhaust but now
has purpose built 30 mm header tubes, rather than the 50mm shrouded imitation
pipes that cover the originally fitted header pipes. Completed by an attractive
detachable stainless performance silencer (enabling easier rear wheel removal),
the engine now performs as it was originally intended.
Since collecting the bike from Staintune I completed a 3500km round
trip to Rockhampton up the New England Highway and returned to Campbelltown
via the coast. I toured with a mate who was on a standard VT750C4, allowing
an effective comparison on performance and sound. At the majority of stops,
I received positive feed back from other bikers. The performance increase
was very noticeable having quicker throttle responses and increased torque
when overtaking at around 100kph and the throaty note is awesome. Although
I was carrying considerably more baggage, as well as a pillion for the
last part of the trip, the fuel consumption was on par with the standard
bike. Any enquiries about the custom system can be directed to Rick at
Staintune on (02) 48713188.
Yours faithfully

Ricky, I ride a 99 BMW R1100S, which I bought used
about 4 years ago. It had a Staintune exhaust which I was quite impressed
with, and I sent you a photo at the time which appeared on your site. Since
that time I have done a lot of work to the bike and it is now my polished
treasure. I make it a point to keep my pipes shiny and they look terrific
after 48,000 miles! I take lots of pictures of my bike and when I looked
at this rather unusual one, which I titled "Beautiful Aussie Curves, From
Down Under" (clever, eh?), I thought you folks would enjoy seeing it. I
continue to be impressed with the quality of your exhaust system. It is
indeed a work of art.
Thank you for such fine workmanship,
