Performance:
The Honda VT 750 is one of Australia's biggest selling cruisers. Staintune has developed a system which comprises of twin headers, collector and single slash cut muffler. This gives the Shadow a distinctive style and a considerable nicer and louder note than standard. This system fits both Chain Drive and Shaft Drive.
On the Dyno there is a 6 Horsepower gain and on road test there is a noticeably sharper throttle and a huge leap in mid range performance and that exhaust sounds sweet as.
What about the noise:
The muffler on the Shadow is the Staintune slash cut style and therefore has no requirement for a restrictor. At the Stationary Noise Test the VT 750 engine fitted with the Staintune is:
93 dba @ 2750 rpm
And once that throttle is opened is has a sensual, deep throaty note; It turns heads!!
Weight savings:
The standard system is cumbersome and heavy at 11.4 Kilo's while the Staintune system comes in at a very skinny 5.4 Kilo's a saving of 6 kilo's
Finish:
The Staintune system is twin headers, collector and slash cut muffler. The finish is a highly polished Stainless Steel.
