Moto Guzzi Breva 750
Performance:
Once again Moto Guzzi have come up trumps with this exceptional tourer. The Norge 1200 when fitted with the standard exhaust slip on was quite sluggish and far to quiet to enjoy that Guzzi note locked up inside. The new Staintune design is literally a breath of fresh air.
On development using the in-house Dyno we achieved a six horsepower improvement right through the range. Torque was increased at the right spots and there are significant gains right from the bottom through the mid-range. On the road is where the gains are truly appreciated - the throttle response through mid-range is instant and smooth and feels like a lot more then a 6Hp increase. Throttle roll on is also smooth and responsive and has removed any hesitation for the big twin to open up.
There is no engine mapping or alterations required, simply bolt on perfection.
What about the noise?
Restrictors in: 82 dba @ 3625 rpm
Restrictors out: 89 dba @ 3625 rpm
Weight savings:
The Staintune can is a full three kilograms lighter than the somewhat cumbersome original.
Finish:
The system is a single oval slip-on. The system has the unique Staintune removable restrictor system, which delivers a nice throaty fat note, and the system is ADR Compliant and is finished in the world famous Staintune Mirror Finish.
